This Valentine’s Day may look a bit different but that doesn’t mean you cannot celebrate and dress for the occasion. Dressing up and looking your best can have a positive impact on your psychology and frame of mind. Whether you are going out or staying in, feeling good about the way you look can make a world of difference.
On a recent shopping trip I was able to find some gorgeous and stylish pieces, which I have styled below. I’ve linked the outfits in case any of the pieces inspire you to get dressed up for Valentines Day.

Pairing a blazer with a t-shirt is a staple to any wardrobe. the outfit provides the flexibility of working in a casual atmosphere, hanging out with family or friends while staying in, as well as in a more formal setting like a dinner party of date night at a local restaurant. The flexibility of the outfit also allows you to pair the style with a wide spectrum of footwear, from high heels to sneakers if you please.

I have already told you my thoughts on the importance of feeling your best through dressing your best. With that in mind, nothing makes me feel classier and more sophisticated than the right dress. Another look I am loving this Valentine’s Day is everything bold and vibrant. Nothing screams romance and Valentine’s Day like a bold pattern or vibrant pinks, reds, and purples.

Those leggings 😍 and they came in a long length 🙌. Grabbed a pair, thanks!
Yay! You are going to love them!!
The most adorable!
Thank you so much!!!
I would also like to add that I love how you are home with the kids, like myself day in and day out (amongst other things of course) and yet still manage to “get it together.” I mean that in the best way too because you always look well put together- hair, makeup (very natural), and wear things other than just yoga pants everyday. Too often the “stay at home mom” has made themselves look less presentable, sexy, confident by always being in relaxed clothes, no hair or makeup done because they claim they don’t have the time, but I can tell you that you have to make time! Get up earlier than the kids and make the time. They are doing themselves (and their husbands) a disservice I think. We need to get ourselves together every day and be presentable for us! Obviously there will be days where we wear loungewear but, I can’t stand it when everyone assumes stay at home moms are sloppy all the time. That’s another reason I love this blog, because even though we are all home, you can still dress up and look and feel nice. Maybe you can even do a blog about what you do every day to keep yourself looking the best you can for YOU 😉
Shannon I love your comment SO much! I totally agree! The misconception of stay at home moms being a mess drives me bananas. You can 100% be a mom and still feel beautiful and confident. It totally makes me feel better and like I have my stuff together when I am able to workout, get dressed and make myself feel pretty. Whether its doing my hair and makeup or putting on some jeans and a sweater. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE my yoga pants and leggings but there is something about making myself feel pretty and presentable that just helps me mentally. I love your idea about a blog post about day to day keeping yourself looking great. I definitely do not have it all together all the time but I try to do what makes me feel good and lets be honest a happy mom is a better mom for my little ones. Thank you so much for checking out the blog and the support! Appreciate it so much! xoxo
