As you can probably tell by some of my recent posts, I cannot wait for summer. I am so ready for warm days outside spent at the pool and the beach with my babes and girlfriends! I showed you my favorite swimsuits, coverups and sandals so I think it’s only fitting to show you my favorite beach and pool accessories to make your next trip stylish and fun! Keeping budgets in mind I went and found some of the cutest beach bags, blankets, water bottles, and sunnies for your next beach day! I also had to mention sunscreen as I hope everyone who reads this is using an SPF every day!
Sunscreen
Hands down the most important thing you need for the summer months is sunscreen! You should be applying sunscreen every day, even in the winter months, but it is especially important in the summer months. Dermatologists recommend you wear a broad spectrum SPF of 30 or more for optimal protection from UVA and UVB rays, whether that is a mineral sunscreen or chemical sunscreen is up to your own personal preference. Here are a few of the sunscreens I have used in the past and loved. I linked a few for your little babes as well!

Beach Bags
You need an awesome and in my case rather large beach bag to tote all of your (and your kids) stuff along with you to the beach. Luckily there are some great bags on the market to help you look cute while toting all your stuff around.

Hats
If you plan on being in the sun this summer it’s important to protect your face! Obviously we all know by now you need to apply sunscreen everyday to your face but even better is to keep you face covered and protected from the sun! Most of the hats I linked below have multiple color options available and all are reasonably priced. I don’t know about you but I think most of us want to keep our skin as youthful as we can for as long as possible, one way to do that is by keeping your skin protected from those strong summer rays! Almost all of these hats come in multiple color combos!

Water Bottles
Another extremely important thing to remember in the summer months and especially when you spend time outdoors or in the sun is hydration. Not only can the sun quickly dehydrate you but dehydration can also lead to heat stroke when you spend time in the sun without hydrating. I purchased a 32oz. water bottle and know that I have to drink at least two bottles a day to get the minimum amount of water I need. It is recommended to drink at least half of your body weight in ounces every day. I have found if I have water easily accessible throughout the day I am more likely to stay hydrated than if I have to go in search of water.

Blankets
A summer blanket can serve so many purposes. Lay it down on the beach, at the pool or for a picnic in the park. Snuggle up with a lightweight blanket while you take a mid afternoon snooze, or throw it on a sofa or chair as a fun accent piece. I love the fun designs of the blankets below.

Sunnies
As for sun protection, I have you covered but you also need to protect those eyes. I recently met a friend who once got sunburn in her eyes. I did not even know that was possible, so now I want to be extra careful to protect my eyes when we go outside. Luckily there are some very stylish and affordable sunglasses on the market, most of which come in different color frames and lenses. It is nearly impossible to choose just one pair of sunnies!
